I'll be coming back to the ranches in a couple of months and will be staying in Carson City. Does anyone have recommendations for restaurants that they really like there? (I'm particularly interested in places that are exclusive to Carson City - so while Olive Garden is nice, I can get that at home.) Thanks for your expertise, Jim

My favorite restaurants in Carson City are: Heidi's for Breakfast Lunch or Dinner: The Glen Eagles Sassafras (next door to Carson City Hot Springs) Favorite Steak House and Seafood: Duke's at the Fandango Casino
This is incredible - I'll be there for two full days, and with all your suggestions I'll have the problem of having too many choices! (And it's a good problem to have!)

Thanks @origlegman Thank you for noticing. Maybe Suzette will let me go out with you for free sometime...........
Although the restaurant is not located in Carson City, I had the pleasure of a pre-opening dinner at Gordon Ramsey’s new Hell’s Kitchen in South Lake Tahoe. It’s excellent and will be very popular.
Yep - it's definitely worth it. Their hours are a little limited, but I had a rice & veggie bowl there last October that I've never had anywhere else. (So many great suggestions on this thread that, along with Mom & Pops, all my restaurant stops will be in these distinct places. There's just no room for the nationwide franchises for this trip!)
Yep! Troy Keeney, associate, NAI Alliance, confirmed the cafe-bakery has signed a lease and construction, weather permitting, should be completed in June. “Then they’ll make tenant improvements so maybe by August,” the restaurant will be opening, he said. https://www.nevadaappeal.com/news/panera-bread-to-open-carson-city-location/
It’s going to be located in a new shopping center going in near the end of 580 and Highway 50 heading to Tahoe next to Terrible Herbst. Chick-Fil-A will also be a part of the new development.
I believe I saw it in CarsonNow.... I think the later part of 2020 if I remember correctly... -Pure heart with a dirty mind, Randy Ryder
I had the yummiest steak and lobster dinner at Angelina’s at the Carson Nugget! It was HUGE, and reasonably priced too!
Gather is one of the best! https://www.yelp.com/biz/gather-carson-city So is Garibaldi's https://www.yelp.com/biz/garibaldis-carson-city If you go a little further out, there's a place in Virginia City called The Cider Factory and it's my favorite restaurant in the area. https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-cider-factory-virginia-city
There are so many in the Carson, Reno, Tahoe area! Really depends on what your looking for! -Pure heart with a dirty mind, Randy Ryder
And also your diet. Lots of new vegan and fresh restaurants that are great for lunch and dinner are popping up. -Pure heart with a dirty mind, Randy Ryder
