I’m so excited there is a fresh fruit juice, smoothie, and salad bar that just opened up in Carson City and the menu looks delicious! Who wants to go out and grab a fresh juice, and then burn all the energy off in my bedroom!!?? -Pure heart with a dirty mind, Randy Ryder
Açai Bowles are delicious and good for you! Full of antioxidants too! -Pure heart with a dirty mind, Randy Ryder
We could do that for lunch one day. How late are they open? The strawberry cake sounds good and would be good after the movie and our party! You got me eating healthier salads and juices and I am doing something else!
Don't get me wrong; I love a good, healthy smoothie, especially from Smoothie King. What really sticks in my craw is the fact that a 40 ounce smoothie costs $10. For that same amount of money, you could get four double cheeseburgers at Carl's Jr./Hardee's. And people wonder why we have such an alarming obesity problem in America today. (breathes) Okay, rant over. As you were...
yeah, i'm thinking of switching from table salt and regular black pepper to powdered mustard and ginger. Sent from my KFSUWI using Tapatalk
They have a sign in front that says something like one should ask themselves why unhealthily food is so inexpensive.... -Pure heart with a dirty mind, Randy Ryder
Please don't misunderstand me: the intention of my post was not to slam Smoothie King or any establishment that provides better nutritious options. It just disturbs me across the spectrum in general that it is more expensive to eat healthy than to take the less expensive alternative and eat fast food/junk food. This has also caused a lot of debate in the affairs of government assistance programs. Many recipients of these programs are shamed because they use their benefits to purchase food items that are considered unhealthy, but because such funds are limited, they have no other choice, especially if they have a large family to provide for. I apologize if I offended you or anyone else who has read and/or contributed to this topic. Sent from my VS988 using Tapatalk
I used to buy smoothies then did the cost analysis and figured in the long run I saved 1/3 making it at home. Granted finding the ingredients during winter was tough and that would be when I would buy a smoothie when instead of making them at home. But businesses gave to have margins, but its nice to see healthy alternatives for people.
Oh not at all. I totally get it! Its all so very true! Processed food is so much cheaper and last longer, yet it terrible for us!!! -Pure heart with a dirty mind, Randy Ryder
If you made a smoothie or fresh pressed juice, what would be your favorite combo? -Pure heart with a dirty mind, Randy Ryder
I'm just as sweet and juicy as any fresh pressed juice too!!! -Pure heart with a dirty mind, Randy Ryder
