Great answers @Florida Couple I’ve never tried ranches outside of a Hof property. I’ve done 5 between Vegas and Mound House. All have been well run operation. I might get a chance at Elko if I see my baby at Weber State this summer. All depends on when these states open back up. Good idea of saving the states for retirement. My business trips let me enjoy travel to so many countries.

 

I can clearly see just how much attention you address to me, I’ve already answered those sets of questions!

I’ve enjoyed White Water Rafting all over the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand (south island) Norway I love the adventure of class V and VI rapids great post as always @RunningSquirrel

 

We would like to visit sagebrush ranch in the near future.. have our eye on @AlexaWu. We have no frame of reference but, the rural brothels were cool. Dovetail is really laid back and welcoming but, tiny. Mona’s was a little bigger. FYI, the Mr went to school for one year at Weber state Every time we go on an extended international trip we feel bad for some of the retirees that struggle with the grueling flights and struggle with mobility. The US is much kinder to the elderly... we’re a long ways off

 

My baby LOVES Weber State. He has finals today and tomorrow then a great summer job. He and three of his best frosh friends picked up a 4 br town house off campus 3 miles away so they are set for the next three years. My baby is an ROTC cadet and in the Army Nursing Corp. what did Mr. @Florida Couple think of Wildcat nation. I really wanted him to go to Wyoming but I’m very happy for him. Utah State was my second choice WSU was third. Dixie State was in the top 5.

 

Loved my one year at WSU before moving back to Florida... long story. I remember the ROTC students repelling off the one tall building on campus where we would go to eat. I went there after getting out of the army... it was September and WSU was based on quarters instead of semesters (hadn’t started classes yet). I applied there and Colorado State and WSU accepted me first. Such a fun time

46. Most bizarre food you have ever eaten? On a memorable evening in Washington DC, one of my best friends, who is Japanese, invited me to attend a dinner being prepared by a visiting Japanese Master Sushi Chef. I ate things that night I will never know to the tune of $350.

The thing I miss most about LA was the fantastic variety of Asian cuisine. I'd go to Little Tokyo and Sawtelle practically every other week. The steamed pork buns, mochi, and picking random snacks from the grocery stores is always delicious and occasionally disgusting. Ramen at the Mitsuwa grocer in Mar Vista was always a treat as well. Thai town and Little Saigon were a bit further from where I lived, so I didn't hit them as much. As a result, I'm rather partial to Japanese food myself. The Night Market in Arcadia was also a special treat. I'd never had Takoyaki before that.

Growing up in the Bay area, do you have any favorite spots?

 

Fresh made mochis are always good. Japanese food is one of my favorite Asian cuisines as well. Takoyaki is exceptional made to order with extra Japanese mayonnaise.

Oak and Rye is one of my favorite places. A bit out of the way but beautiful and can make an afternoon out of it. Feel free to DM me and we can continue our delicious conversation!

I would love to travel across country in an RV and eventually live in a tiny house on a large plot of land - growing my own vegetables and fruits. That would be the life!

 

Why the specific date of 7/2/25? Where did you learn to design off-grid solar systems? That is incredible. I studied in Environmental Studies and love everything green and environmental.

The tiny house is perfect for myself and my dogs. It's a small home basically - kitchen, bathroom, bed, and storage wherever you can add it.
