“Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present.” I keep reading that mindfulness is the way to live one’s life. This has always been difficult for me: When I go to bed, I think about what I am going to have for breakfast. When I am talking to a nice lady, I think about when and how to kiss her. When I go to work, I think about what I am going to do when my shift ends. I suppose I have always been this way, except when I am with Malika. Whatever I am doing with Malika, I do not want to stop. I could study her amazing face for hours. I feel blessed when I am talking with her, I want to continue the conversation. And when I am….. well, I think we all know where this is going. If I am to believe the mental health professionals, I am mentally healthy when I am with Malika. Thank you Malika, you are amazing and a treasure.
