Cool post. @ImogenSteele just a coincidence but I was looking up info on Top NZ She-Js just yesterday and then I see this thread. I will have to take a listen. https://www.tvnz.co.nz/one-news/new-zealand/kiwi-women-helping-break-dj-world-s-glass-ceiling
I play a lot of NZ and Hawaiian music. Mainly Maori music. It’s really difficult for musicians from the Pasifik to get heard and exposed abroad. All around the people love to hear Maori and Pasifika sound, so I’m grateful to be able to play something new and different for people. And to promote my culture too xo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I love to perform wearing my traditional tribal wear! Here I wear a Hawaiian Haku Lei (head garland) with a Maori Piupiu (prepared flax garment). I hope that by playing Maori & Hawaiian modern music people of the world become inspired and also learn a little about our beautiful and unique cultural heritage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had 7 lots be musicians on stage with me while I DJ’ed it was the best time, so interesting and soooo much fun! A little something for everyone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
