Tonight, Nevada’s governor announced that the brothels and other such “high risk” entertainment venues would finally be open on May 1. Now, this doesn’t seem written in stone, as we got the same thing last year and got skunked. I’ll take it a day at a time and watch closely and carefully as I’ve been doing since the shutdown.

If nothing else, we have a time table. That’s better than what we had before, which was nothing.

  2. Hopefully. Lets wish for the best.

  3. I am hoping for that as well. If not, I will still be working OT at work to save for my trip there.

  4. Gov. Sisolak didn't actually say May 1st would be a firm opening date (though that would be nice since my birthday is at that time)...but, you're right, @Old Nick ... at least it's something ... this is from the Reno G-J...

Night clubs, strip clubs to stay closed
Additionally, certain high-risk businesses and activities – adult entertainment establishment, nightclubs and day clubs, and brothels, will remain closed until at least May 1.

That's the date the state hopes to transition COVID-19 mitigation management responsibility to local authorities, Sisolak said.

"In order to reach this goal, counties will have from now through the end of April to demonstrate a decrease in COVID trends, adequate hospital capacity within their region, and evidence that they can continue performing an adequate level," Sisolak said.

Let's all hope the pandemic number are down and we all can look forward to May 1, 2021.

  6. At least this can give enough time for more people including sex workers to get fully vaccinated so the risk can be far lower by then. Looks like I'm going to las vegas 2 to 3 times before then, hopefully my trip in may will be at the ranches.

Adequate hospital capacity is the weirdest metric. Making perfectly healthy people stay at home because there are too many patients at the hospital seems a little bit silly. Exactly how much hospital capacity is considered adequate?

Cumisha Amado mentioned to me in a recent text she can't access the Bunny Ranch site as of late, so I'll let her know about the news of the possible date of the brothels reopening. Her and family are still trying to get her daughter's house fixed for it to be sold by the realtor. She said she doing okay right now, still rough for her and the family right now.

  10. I hope shes ok. I know cumisha has been thru a lot over the last years

Yeah, she's doing good, Miss @AlexaHaze . Just kinda rough for her right now with her and her family combing through her daughter's stuff, lots of memories building up. But, yes, she's said she doing alright with her family with her. I'll let her know you all are thinking of her, she'll appreciate that a lot!

I did mention it was not set in stone, but at least we do have a mile marker. But knowing Governor Scumbag, it’s just a carrot being dangled in front of our noses.

  14. If they had any foresight (yeah, I know, wishful thinking)...the ladies who want the vaccination would be bumped up to Phase 1a as essential workers

Sadly, as Alice Little has stated, the state doesn’t give a shit about sex workers. Nevada is the only state that has legal brothels, yet they’re still stepped on by the goddamn legislature. Nevada is apparently ashamed by the brothels, but that outside money is still pretty good.

Odd can I report the fucking casino then? God I went to one when I just went up there for business and holy shit they had lines out the door and wall to wall people.

I saw two other brothels posting on Twitter today that they're opening May 1st, hoping to hear a similar announcement from the Bunny Ranch!

Madam Trudy from Chicken Ranch and Madam Tara from Mustang have both been very active on Twitter. Chicken Ranch has been taking votes on what shade of pink to paint the walls.

What say you, Bunny Ranch, the brothel that made me aware of legal brothels in Nevada and inspired me to research further?

I wonder if I’ll get booted for mentioning the competition too much?

She texted me the other day to wish me a Happy Valentine's Day. I've had a couple of texts from her prior to that, and it sounds like she's doing okay.

Nah, I don't think so. If this was pre pandemic times, then I would wager you would eventually get booted. Now? I don't think so.

Besides, if it gives them a kick in the butt to get going, then it's a good thing, no?

It’s funny. I hardly ever, if at all, mentioned any brothel outside Lyon County before the pandemic.

Strange times make one think differently. I, too, was the same. Or I would just restrict my thinking to the Reno/Carson City/Sparks area. The stuff out west was too far for me. Ditto for the stuff near LV.

Now? I would seriously consider it, especially if some of the ladies I follow start working out there.

For brothel hopping, I actually live in an optimal place. I live 2 1/2 hours from Wells, 4-5 hours from Elko, and 8 hours from Carson, and Vegas is an 8 hour trip for me as well. That’s one advantage to living in Utah.

  26. If the brothels are opening on May 1st, is there going to be a livestream program too? I wonder how would the livestream program would work with the social distancing protocols?

It also depends on if @Kiteh Kawasaki™ is still in the area too. She ran the livestream shows.

  28. I know that if they open on may 1, the ladies will be FLOODED with appointments!!!! for a long time after!!!

Some states have programs where they encourage businesses and individuals to move to their state. (Tulsa, for example, will pay you 10k to move there if you have a job there and stay for a year). I imagine that Utah could use what you said to implement their own program:

"Come to Utah - where you're always close to passionate sex! And for a little extra she'll pretend she's a Mormon!"

  30. Wouldn't worry about that given how quiet the powers-that-be have been for the most part. @Old Nick , you've been pretty good about keeping the Bunny Board alive.

Exactly. Kiteh was tweeting every once in awhile last year. Sadly, about the utter lack of support/respect from the state, especially re: unemployment benefits.

I'm hoping so. I'm just far enough away that its not an easy trip to get there and the livestreams were a great way to keep up on the different ladies there and things going on. I'm wondering too how many of the ladies will be returning that were there before.

Chicken Ranch is definitely opening that day. They even have a countdown clock on their website.

  33. I live further from pahrump than mound house, but if the lyon county brothels open after may 31st I will have to stay overnight at the chicken ranch before then. No matter what I'm going to a ranch, especially since my entire household has been fully vaccinated for covid. With a third of nevada vaccinated its only a matter of time when hospitalizations and deaths will flatten to the same as 2019, when they open they should stay open.

Utah hates the fact that they’re situated next to Nevada. Never mind the fact that bishops and elders visit the brothels to live out their polygamist fantasies. I even read a story of a Mormon elder who would drive from SLC to a brothel once a month to live out his cross dressing fantasies, saying he can’t do it in SLC coz he’ll get judged and excommunicated. I bet he’s been suffering through the pandemic.

Nevada is to Utah what a college frat house is to a Mormon family.

Doesn't mean they are opening. Just that they are irresponsible announcing something that is just a hope at this point.

I'm sure Bunny Ranch is playing it safe and being respectful to its clients and working girls before announcing a date. I mean it would be entirely messed up to tell the ladies May 1 and they adjust their lives to return only to be delayed further.

An announcement won't come until decision is made in mid April. Even if approved no telling if 2 weeks will be enough time to meet all safety protocols and get all the ladies legal and certified to work again by May 1.

Just be patient. We've waited this long. Now hopefully no one f's it up for everyone else by jumping the gun. Hoping myself to return for Memorial Day weekend if all works out.

Hope to see and talk to everyone soon enough....

    We're almost there!!!
