A woman I know was just diagnosed with the lowest grade of breast cancer after a routine mammography. She had almost postponed it. By catching it so early, she has an excellent prognosis of beating it. Her surgeon, who is very experienced and will excise the growth, said that mammographies, regularly conducted, are the absolute best way to avoid getting broadsided by a more wide-spread breast cancer. So please, if you’re in the age group for which this practice is recommended, don’t delay getting one. Urge coworkers, friends, and relatives to do so also.
