It’s common knowledge that I like metal, and I rarely step out of that realm. But I occasionally do, and mostly, I go back to other genres and videos I enjoyed in the past. It might make no sense to me, but I enjoy it anyway. So here’s another fun thread. I’d be honored if you’d add to it too. I used to have Technotronic’s Pump Up The Jam on cassette way back when. I was a fan back then, only coz I hadn’t discovered metal yet. This video is total green screen all the way through, with visuals that might make your eyes go crazy. Welcome to the 80s! Hehehe.... Fun fact: Felly is credited with doing the rap on this song, and is also the focal point of the video, but Ya Kid K actually did the rap.
Okay, this one’s a twofer! I forgot that I had this one on my Spotify playlist. Hevisaurus is a band from Finland that dress up as dinosaurs and play heavy metal music that’s geared more toward kids. They’ve grown on me, and they used to be one of my daughter’s favorites. I still enjoy their videos.
@Old Nick I we grew up during one of the most amazing eras of music. I was a metal head and hip hop fan transitioning into middle school, before I got into hardcore and punk, and all this mixed sub-genres. The majority of my metal and hip hop collection stops around 95-96. How do you feel about the Judgment Night? I love it when hip hop and metal get together.

This video and song really isn’t a guilty guilty pleasure. In fact, I love it. It’s a great song, great video, with a positive message. We need more of that instead of the negativity. I have a thing for biker girls. It started when I worked at a grocery store. I bagged groceries for this biker babe. While I was loading her groceries in her truck, she was flirting with me, which was awesome coz I had barely turned 18 around that time. I don’t mind telling you she was on my mind for the rest of the night, and when I finally got home, I cranked a few out. I saw this music video before that, when when I saw this video, I popped wood. Rob Scallon is a musical genius! From playing Slayer on a banjo to creating improvised instruments out of unlikely objects (a harp made out of a toilet seat), he’s done some amazing things. The ukulele metal videos with Sarah Longfield are my favorites. This one is a cover of Slayer’s Payback.
Wally Kazam is so unbelievably underrated. Their songs are top notch. Stan’s the Swamp Thing’s Happiness is one of my guilty pleasures. “I know that I’m not the mos sensitive guy, But I try.
