Here is their website, not exactly sure where the new multi game consoles are being sold at, some one mentioned Dollar General, Family Dollar stores. I think I saw one at a F.Y.E./ Suncoast store. Check out Coleco's website. www.coleco.com
Bloodstain Ritual Of The Night came out Tuesday If you're into Castlevania SOTN I would highly suggest it! It's good. Switch version comes out next week. PS4 and Xbox One is out now.
I may be late to the party but I'll be getting Mortal Kombat 11 for the PS4 next week. A lot of overtime so I think I should reward myself.
Yeah, check out the Now tab at the top of the Coleco page, scroll down, the article of the Coleco Vision Flashback was the new console I was talking about. Venture was a good action/adventure/role-playing game. It was out before Legend of Zelda was imagined.
Venture is on an Arcade Legends machine at work, along with other Exidy games, like Mouse Trap, Cheyenne, and Whodunnit. I play those when the cabinet is on.
As far as Coleco goes, they were some slippery devils back in the day, weren’t they? They did stuff that no console manufacturer would even dream of doing today, like making a clone system based on the hardware of their chief rival! The Coleco Gemini, which I had, was a 2600 clone! Also, they made a 2600 adapter for the Coleco Vision. They even made games for their competition, but fucked to hell. Example: Donkey Kong. The 2600 version had Kong looking like a sad gingerbread man, with Honeycomb Cereal rolling down the ramps.
Yeah some of the games looked good and some kinda sucked, but with the graphics back then they were nice. I remember them having a Popeye game and a game based of the comic strip of B.C. The B.C. game was pain-in-the-ass to beat, almost reminded you of NES's Battletoads.
I played a ColecoVision at the Classic Gaming Expo in Vegas back in 02. Twin Galaxies held a competition. Highest score on three games, Donkey Kong Jr, Ladybug, and Miner 2049er, won the system and the games. I did great in Donkey Kong Jr, did ok in Ladybug, and wasn’t good at all in Miner 2049er. So no ColecoVision for me that day.
Did you know that Nintendo owns the rights to a porn flick? It’s true! A porn parody of the Super Mario Bros movie, called Super Hornio Bros, was released. There were two movies in this series. Sadly, they weren’t available for very long. Nintendo bought the rights to the movie to shelve it indefinitely. I never knew about it until pics of Ron Jeremy dressed as Mario appeared online. I imagine it’s pretty rare now.
Not all that surprised with all the porn parody movies being made today, I just hope no one humps a goomba mushroom and a turtle in that flick.
If it’s an accurate parody of the movie, there were no Koopa Troopas, and the Goombas were big guys with little heads. The rest of the bad guys, Koopa, Iggy, and Spike were all humanoid reptilians. It’s worth seeing the movie just once to see why true fans were so pissed.
I’m having a blast with Super Mario Maker 2! I already have 12 levels on the server, though you can only upload 32, unless that gets updated. So of these two levels, the sky level and the pipe level, which should get uploaded? They’re both pretty good.
Pipes Galore! The name of this level I have made. I made a harder variant of it, but it needs some tweaking. But if you have Super Mario Maker 2 on the Switch, here’s one of my levels.
When it comes to designing levels on Super Mario Maker 2, I admit, using the Wii U game pad for the first game spoiled me, and I’m glad the Switch has a touch screen. When it came to preorders, Europe had us beat. Preorders came with a Mario themed stylus. Sadly, we got shafted. We didn’t even get the Mario hats this time that we got with the first game. I’m so spoiled, I won’t touch this game without a stylus. Fortunately, styluses that work for iPhones and Androids will work on the Switch. I’m using a click pen that doubles as a stylus. My mom nabbed a few of these from a doctor’s office. These are absolutely ideal for designing levels. You could use a controller, but it’s a pain in the neck. I don’t like to use my finger on this, either. My fingers are too big.
Not really. This is all stock assets and I can’t code or program to save my life. I wish I could, though. I’d sell my games on Steam. Still, I’m pretty good at “drag and drop” design. For the Mario Maker series, I make traditional Mario levels, though with a few twists. For instance, I just completed a level where Bowser chases you through the whole thing. It just needs some finishing touches.
Check it out! Rob Scallon, known for building guitars out of shovels and toilet seats, built one from a Nintendo!
I just saw at F.Y.E store that they are selling Activision, Atari, and Sega Genesis retro systems with the games installed.
All of my streams went through Facebook. Some through a Facebook group, and some through my page, Heavy Mental Gaming. I do have a Twitch and YouTube channel, but I have yet to do anything with Twitch and my YouTube channel is kinda random with videos of my late dog, Mushu, some Mario Kart videos, created wrestler videos, and a video of my daughter singing. I’m still not sure what to do with it, but I might set up a separate channel for gaming or pranking scammers. I’ve been doing that lately. Maybe Twitch for gaming and YouTube for pranking scammers.
