What you may not know is the history behind the Ranches.

The 5 Northern establishments are located in Mound House, Lyon County, about 7 miles (11 km) east of Carson City, Nevada in the unincorporated town of Mound House, in Lyon County.

It was soon after that Dennis purchased another house that was only 4 minutes away from The Moonlite Bunny Ranch, which was then called Madam Kitty's Fantasy Ranch. To further the Bunny Ranch empire, Dennis named this new location The Bunny Ranch II in 2004. In fact, it wasn't until 2008 that Dennis decided to rename the Ranch to what you know now as Dennis Hof's World Famous Love Ranch. From Wikipedia

The Moonlite Ranch Originally opened in 1955 and is, in fact considered to be a historical landmark as the building sits near a stop on the Pony Express. There's a signs and everything on the property. Dennis bought the business in 1993 and named after Dennis Hof's Moonlite Bunny Ranch. From Wikipedia

Dennis own The Kit Kat Guest Ranch as of October 28th, 2012 becoming part of his Cathouse Collections and is currently undergoing an extensive renovation including the addition of an indoor swimming pool, to be open year round.
