Another great list. I don't think anyone ties Bruno Sammartino's 8 year reign as world champion.

Was it Skandar Akbar or Gary Hart that managed him in World Class? I'm thinking it was Skandar Akbar. Interesting character, great villain.

Good call, my Uncle Bo's favorite wrestlers was Dick the Bruiser. He and the Crusher were a tag team force to ve reckoned with.

Imo, Bobby Heenan is clearly the greatest manager of all-time. If there was a manager's Mt. Rushmore, it's Heenan, Jim Cornette, Jimmy Hart and Paul Heyman.

    The Fabulous Freebirds
    Doom
    The Steiner Brothers

    Adding on to Brent's list:

    Dory Funk, Jr.
    Bulldog Bob Brown
Ox Baker (he always used to pick on the poor ring announcer, Mickey Gargiola. Yep, Joe's brother.)
Nature Boy Ric Flair (To be the man -- you've got to beat the man. WOO!!!!)
    Jack and Jerry Brisco
    Big Cat Ernie Ladd
And a shout out to the greatest promotor of all-time: Sam Muchnick in St. Louis (yeah, I'm biased *lol*)

Great call on Ox Baker, one of the greatest heels of the territories era. I saw him in ICW (Angelo Poffo's wrestling company) and in Memphis. He had good feuds with Ronnie Garvin and Jerry Lawler. Jimmy Hart managed him in Memphis.

Dory Funk, Jr and Terry were 2 of the greatest but very tremendous for different reasons. And Dory was World Champion for 5 years.

I love the Briscos. I remember Wade Biggs saying that Jack Brisco was his favorite wrestler.

Ernie Ladd was tremendous being a wrestling hall of famer and a football hall of famer. Loved the big boot.

I actually didn’t get into wrestling until my 20s. But when I did, of course I had to get the games.

I thought I'd pass this along. We lost another baddass last night, Ole Anderson. He will famously be remembered as a member of the original four horsemen, the most popular wrestling act not named Hulk Hogan during the 1980's. There was no gray area with those guys, you either loved or hated them.

This is the first I've heard about it, and Al Rogowski (real name of Ole Anderson), was not only a bad-ass, he was also a booker for his territory, and with his cousin, Gene, part of the feared Minnesota Wrecking Crew, one of the best tag teams of their era.

RIP Ole/Al, and thanks for everything .

Another thing about Ole was he was the voice behind the black scorpion during the late early nineties during the black scorpion / sting feud.

Ole Anderson was definitely one of the greatest Jack of all trades in wrestling. A few extras I'm aware of are that he paired the Road Warriors, he gave Randy Poffo the new last name of Savage because Ole said he wrestled like a Savage plus he and Gene brought Ric Flair from the AWA to Mid Atlantic. I loved his feuds with Dusty Rhodes before and during the 4 horsemen era. I remember quite well when he, Arn and Flair broke Dusty's ankle and a year later, he, Arn and J.J. Dillon along with a baseball bat attacked Dusty Rhodes in a parking lot and broke his wrist. I was fortunate enough to see Ole a couple of times, once as world tag team champions with Stan Hansen vs. Ivan Putski and Tom Prichard then a few years later teaming with Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard vs. Dusty Rhodes, Magnum TA and Jerry the King Lawler in a mo count out, no disqualification street fight.

I'm a big fan of all those guys you mentioned. R Truth, IMO, is the biggest reason to watch Monday Night Raw right now.
