I had the opportunity to spend some time with Shelby this week. When I dropped in to the ranch randomly, she was the first lady in the lineup. Among other things, her smile lit up the room; it could have opened the door by itself. It occurred to me that the usual words - amazing, fantastic, wonderful - were inadequate to the task of describing the experience, however well-intentioned they might be. So I coined the adjective "Shelbyesque." Shelbyesque (adj.) [shel-bee-esk] 1) Of or relating to Shelby 2) Simultaneously terrific, grand, sexy, satisfying, pulsating, extraordinary, beautiful, sensuous and just plain neat. Usage: While admittedly impressive, the aurora borealis lacked the necessary characteristics to be referred to as Shelbyesque. I would expect the editors of the Oxford English Dictionary to include this new adjective in their next update. If not ... well, we need to haul them out to the ranch. Steve
