Over
the past two years, the America Undercover documentaries, “Cathouse”
and “Cathouse 2: Back in the Saddle,” offered HBO viewers an
inside look at Nevada’s Moonlite Bunnyranch, a legal brothel just
outside Carson City. Now, CATHOUSE: THE SERIES returns to
this adult fantasyland for more revealing encounters between the
customers and “working girls” when the late-night documentary series
debuts THURSDAY, JUNE 16 (11:00-11:30 p.m. ET/PT), with the episode
entitled “What Men Don’t Know.” Other editions debut on
subsequent Thursdays at the same time, exclusively on HBO.
CATHOUSE:
THE SERIES features interviews with the working girls and ranch
management, peeks into “party” rooms, eavesdrops on sex workshops, and
witnesses the behind-the-scenes day-to-day activities at the Moonlight
Bunny Ranch. Many of the women introduced in the previous
specials -- including Air Force Amy, Sunset Thomas, Isabella Soprano
and Bridget the Midget -- are back with new tricks up their sleeves.
Still
thriving after nearly 50 years, the Moonlite Bunnyranch, located at the
end of a dusty road about 35 miles south of Reno, is arguably the most
famous legal brothel in the state. Since brothels were legalized
in many Nevada counties in 1972, the state has become a sexual mecca
for Americans looking to live out their fantasies.
The
series captures frank discussions between Dennis Hof, owner of the
ranch, Suzette, the madam, and the prostitutes, while hidden cameras
located in party rooms record private conversations, transactions and
sexual activity between working girls and their customers.
(Before sex takes place, customers are informed they are being
taped, and their appearance on the show is subject to signing a consent
agreement.) The series highlights such ranch features as special
sex therapy clinics and fantasy parties for newlywed couples.
In
the premiere episode, Isabella Soprano offers a crash course in Sex 101
to a group of guys visiting the ranch, covering such topics as locating
the elusive G-spot and working with sex toys. After class,
customers show off the skills they have just learned. Elsewhere,
a new groom is presented with an unusual wedding gift from his wife.
