First of all, let me say that this is not so much a review as it is a fond recollection of another series of amazing memories created with the incomparable Sindy Sky. I finally had the opportunity to visit the southern houses for the first time the weekend of April 21st – 24th. That time frame was chosen since I knew it would be Sindy’s last weekend of her tour at the LRV. It had been a few years since I’d been to Vegas, and with Sindy being in town it became a perfect opportunity for me to head back.

Sindy and I had previously discussed having a day of fun in Vegas on Saturday, spending the night and returning to LRV on Sunday. A couple of weeks before my trip, Sindy made arrangements with the LRV management for me to spend Friday night at the ranch, which would allow me to rest up and get ready for our time together. Please allow me to digress for a moment to give a shout out to Freaky Geek and Glip, well known fellow board members who were in town as well. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting both gentlemen for the first time. I had offered to order in pizza on Friday for everyone, however I found myself in the middle of a battle over who was buying (Freak & Glip, Sindy or me). Needless to say, I lost the battle. We enjoyed the pizza, as well as a great card game later (much later) that evening. I’ll let someone else explain the game, but let me just say it was hilarious! :p Sienna, Tiara and Destiny along with myself, Sindy, Freaky and Glip had a lot of laughs. One last thank you before I continue to Freaky, who made breakfast for everyone on Saturday morning. Let me tell you the tales of his culinary skills are no joke, and it was very much appreciated. :)

Moving on, the main part of Saturday’s plans had been worked out well in advance. Sindy had told me that even though she had been to Vegas before, they were quick in and out trips and she hadn't really had an opportunity to truly see much or "experience" Vegas. I was bound and determined to change that, and wanted nothing more than to show this amazing lady a great time and allow her to do some things that were her choice. I had asked Sindy if there was anything in particular she would like to do in Vegas and she told me that there were only 2 things that came to mind. First, she wanted to get a better picture in front of the “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign, and she wanted to see the Bellagio fountain show. Both of those requests could be managed quite easily, since we would have plenty of time prior to our evening activities to relax & explore. I had also asked Sindy to research what shows were in town for Saturday night, and to give me some ideas on what she might like to see. I ended up getting us VIP seating for the “50 Shades – The Parody” show at Bally’s. Since the show was at 9:30 PM, that left plenty of time for a nice dinner beforehand. I settled on the Eiffel Tower restaurant at Paris for dinner for a couple of reasons. First of all, Paris and Bally’s are connected which would make for a simple walk from dinner to the show. The primary reason, however, is the restaurant's window seating just happens to allow a magnificent view of the Bellagio fountains! :D

Far in advance of my trip I decided that I couldn’t just leave our plans to dinner, a show and some casino time. Those that know Sindy are aware of just how creative and thoughtful she is. My personal challenge was to try and come up with something unique to make our time extra special. This past January when Sindy agreed to be my companion for my 55th Birthday celebration I somehow managed to come up with a couple of fun surprises to make her laugh and smile (see my post from that trip). Sindy had mentioned somewhere (Friday night video stream, one of her posts, her website?) that one of her “bucket list” items was to join the mile high club. Since chartering a Lear Jet was out of my range (and yes I actually looked into this as crazy as it sounds), I did some research and found a viable, incredibly fun alternative. So, the first thing we did after we got to Vegas was to actually make that dream happen, and we earned our induction into the club on Saturday afternoon (a "nooner" by the way as Sindy pointed out to me afterwards ;)). We agreed later that it would be up to Sindy’s discretion to disclose any details as to how we pulled this off. What I can tell you, though is that we are now both officially certified, card carrying members of the “Mile High Club” (see end of this post for proof). We each have wallet sized mementos attesting to our accomplishment, and Sindy has a larger size certificate as well, suitable for framing. Forevermore I (and others) can officially refer to her as “Sindy Mile High Sky”. Next up we headed over to the Venetian to get checked in, as that is where we would spend Saturday night. A very special thank you to Amanda (wink, wink ) for arranging a fabulous suite with a great view! (PS: Preston thanks you as well ;)).

After wandering the strip for a little while and playing a game called “hooker poker” (Sindy, Freaky or Jenny Jade can explain that one, LOL! :D) we headed back to change for dinner at the Eiffel Tower restaurant. I will say that the food was exceptional, and Sindy got the opportunity to try out a seafood delicacy, caviar for the first time. It took some coaxing, because being a truly considerate woman, she was concerned that the high cost would be money down the drain if she didn’t like it. As far as I'm concerned these opportunities don’t come around often, and I was thrilled that not only did Sindy try the caviar, she loved it! Thank you, my dear for your adventurous spirit! :) Your smile alone as you savored the dish was worth a thousand times the cost! While we enjoyed our meal, we both got a nice view of the Bellagio fountain show from our window table, not only during twilight but after nighttime fell. After the delightful dining experience it was off to see “50 Shades – The Parody”, next door. Let me tell you that based on the reviews, it seems that people either love or hate this show, with virtually no middle ground. The VIP seating put us right in front of the stage, and simply put I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard in years. They actually advertise that the show's run time is “69 minutes”. After the show, we took a leisurely stroll back to the Venetian, continuing our game of “hooker poker” during the walk.

Following a nice night at the hotel, it was breakfast in bed before heading out for some more fun. On our morning walk, we made a quick stop at the White Castle around the corner so Sindy could enjoy a 4 pack of traditional “sliders”. Sindy had told me when we got to Vegas that one of the reasons for staying at the Venetian was that she hoped I would consider going on a Gondola ride with her. Since I’m Italian it was a natural for me (ha, ha, ha! :D). Who wouldn’t want to enjoy an experience like that with this beautiful woman? While we wandered, Sindy also pointed out that she had never been to a wax museum. The comment was prompted by the fact that the Venetian also happens to be home to Las Vegas’ Madame Tussaud’s. Thanks to Sindy’s keen eyesight, she noticed that there was a package deal for a Gondola ride and admission to the wax museum that would actually be less than the cost of the Gondola ride itself! Done deal!!! Sindy and I wandered the museum for a while (she found it creepy at first ) and took some fun photos, then ended the visit with her getting a souvenir wax mold of her right hand (in the color blue of course). I can only imagine what creative plans she might have for that! :p

Once we finished our tour of the wax museum it was time for our Gondola ride. Since the winds were pretty strong on Sunday morning, the outside ride was temporarily closed and we were directed to the inside ride. I was quite pleased that we had a great Gondolier for our private ride, and he had a great sense of humor. During the ride, Sindy asked me for two nickels so we could each throw one in the water and make a wish. She told me she wanted to do this in honor of my recent 55th “double nickel” birthday celebration. Her thoughtfulness is never ending, in my opinion. Thank you to “Sindy from west nowhere” from “Joe from east nowhere” (we met in the middle of nowhere… private joke ;)). Finally, we took a quick stroll through the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood, where I was able to get Sindy her souvenir shirt from “Sin City Brewing Company”.

Alas, it was time to get the beautiful Sindy back to the ranch. We put the top down on the convertible Mustang I had rented (oh yeah, I forgot to mention that little detail :)) and headed back to LRV. Let me tell you there is nothing better than riding in a convertible in nice weather with a gorgeous blonde and the top down (the car’s top, not hers ).

In conclusion, I want to thank you Sindy from the bottom of my heart! My lady, you gave me yet another unforgettable adventure and memories that will last a lifetime. I hope you enjoyed our time as much as I did. Until December, your grace, you are truly "different".
