With AVN rapidly approaching, I was looking for in put from anyone who has been to both AVN and one of the EXXPOs. I've been to AVN a few times but never an EXXXPO. I was curious if anyone prefers one of the other and why, hoping to find out if there are really any differences between the two or if they're pretty much the same venue. Thanks!
AVN is an absolute blast, definitely go if you get a chance! I'm just trying to decide if I should try something else this coming year
Honestly if you are unable to attend both, you have been to one of the events why not try attending the other one. This will allow you to experience both and then you can decide which event you prefer and don't forget to update us here. I would love to know!
I had thought about that but will probably do AVN in January and then the Chicago Exxxotica Expo in April just to live it up a little. If anyone reading this is going to be at either of those let me know and we'll have a drink together!

I haven't been to an AVN awards yet, but I did go an EXXXPO a couple of years ago. I had a good time. Met a lot of stars, got a lot of autographs and photos with them, then made my way to one of the after parties. I think both would be good experiences, so I would say I couldn't hurt to try the one you haven't been to yet
I've been to both and have won awards for both. AVN has always been the "Oscar For Porn" (More European Porn Stars and Companies attend AVN) and EXXXPO is not as big but it's more for the "FANS of Porn". I'm a "Legendary Porn Star" and now retired from films and I've been in the Adult Industry for over 20 years and had my own Production Company and have worked in Europe also. I had a "One Year Contract with Erotic Media in Films and Television" in Zurich, Switzerland. The Oscar for Porn in Europe in called "Venus Film Festival - Berlin Germany" and it's 3 Times bigger than the AVN and EXXXPO.

Having just gone to the latest AVN Expo, thought I'd share a bit of information about the event. I asked this same question of several of the ladies at AVN who have appeared at both and the usual answer I got was that AVN is geared toward the talent, media and awards while Exxxotica is geared toward the fan experience. Nobody would really say they favored appearing at one versus the other though that might have been a career preservation move too. I did decide though, having been to several AVN Expos, that I won't return unless they significantly change the location. Resorts World held them last year and again this year. Last year the Expo was spread out over quite a large area and it took a bit of serious walking to get through it all. This year it was all crammed into one room making any movement from booth to booth pretty difficult once the venue started filling up. I also heard the comment from a few ladies there that it was obvious that they weren't really wanted there and that the venue was doing the bare minimum to fulfill their 3 year contract. I was able to meet quite a few very neat and fun people there, had a pretty good time with lots of pics, but not again unless the venue is changed.
Thanks @TiredFrog for sharing your experience. AVN is not the same as when I attended years ago. Years ago, we had Tables and Dinner was served then they announced the winners of each category. Exxxotica was always for the "Fans". AVN is the "Oscar of Porn". The "Venus Film Festival" in Berlin, Germany is the "Oscar of Porn for Europe.
