  1. Sadly no, but a little gift card for some take out could make someone’s day :)

  2. I’m not sure either, that’s actually a good question. :)

  3. What I did for one lady, send a gift card, then wait a few days for the gift cards do not arrive on the same day. I did two a week apart and the lady was able to keep all.

  4. You're right, it doesn't pay the bills. But a gift card that could be used for some groceries, toilet paper, or a renting a movie while sitting home frees up funds. It will help.

The fear of the virus has caused more damage than the virus itself.

  6. Latest Official Statement

MARCH 19, 2020 BY NBA STAFF

    Brothels Reassess Governor’s Shut-Down Request
(Carson City, Nevada) – After initially signaling a decision to remain open during Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak’s request that non-essential businesses shut down for 30 days, a number of Nevada’s legal brothels have reassessed and are closing their doors.

“Late Wednesday afternoon the governor’s office specifically added brothels to its list of designated non-essential businesses,” said Suzette Cole, owner of the Moonlite Bunny Ranch and three other legal brothels in Lyon County. “In light of that announcement, we’ve decided to voluntarily comply until further notice.”

Cole said she concurs with what The Mustang Ranch in Storey County said in their own statement…

“While we very much support Storey County’s position that all businesses in the county may remain open during this challenging time, we also understand the intentions of the governor’s recent call for a 30-day statewide closure of many businesses.

“The health and safety of the women that work at the Mustang Ranch and our guests remains our foremost priority and we will work with local and state government to evaluate the need to close the Mustang Ranch for the full 30 days and make announcements regarding continue operations in the near future.”

Louis Goldberg, owner Inez’s D&D and Mona’s Ranch, and Gabriel Ornelas, owner of the Desert Rose Gentlemen’s Club, have also decided close operations in Elko until further notice.

“We want to be part of the solution, not the problem,” Goldberg said.

“We’re all in this together,” added Ornelas. “In the end, we’ll all come out of this stronger, healthier and ready for the future.”

In addition, Sheri’s Ranch and the Chicken Ranch in Nye County have also closed operations.

So, as with most things, the situation changed drastically from Tuesday and on Wednesday March 18, 2020 Governor Sisolak shut down all the casinos, the Las Vegas strip, all small business and all "non essential" business to include the legal brothels for 30 days. He obviously has not had any sex in well over a decade and it is no longer essential to him and we have again been tossed into the Las Vegas and Clark County death trap of illegal vices.

So, yes we are closed for the first time in history. Suzette is absolutely devastated for our employees, our ladies and our clients. However, we will come back and come back strong.

No. we are not allowed to take deposits nor are we keeping deposits. We have made the decision to not run our credit card machines at this time.

From what I understand, all the ladies have left and gone home until further notice so I'm sure (I hope) you will be seeing more of us here on the forums to interact with you.

Personally, I think it is a good idea for us to comply. The safety and well being of all our employees, ladies and clients alike has always been of paramount concern. Again, you can count on the NV legal brothels to take the lead in health and hygienic safety.

Please be patient, take care of yourselves, stay healthy, stay positive and let's have some fun here on our boards!

I might get laid off next week. Instead of paying us something our company is telling us to file for unemployment. I fill mad betrayed and hurt. This is a terrible epidemic for everyone who is infected and for many of us that are at risk of losing our job due to the fear and pandomonia. I hope things get better. This is hard to deal with.

  8. Great information iSurfer. Thank you! I do believe just about every creditor is deferring payments for three months. Everyone understands the circumstances. Just call your creditors and they will work something out with you. Let's not panic. Just call and make arrangements. This is not a time to bury your head in the sand. This is the time to CYA.

All the employees will get unemployment. The ladies are independent contractors and get courtesy 1099's. Some independent contractors can get unemployment benefits.

Here is a link on more unemployment benefit information and to determine your eligibility as an independent contractor. A very informative article with useful information on collecting unemployment when you are self employed. HERE

I would assume the ladies further into their careers that have incorporated and do pay into Social Security and Disability thus would get unemployment benefits.

The federal and state governments are expanding sick leave and unemployment benefits and working on legislation to help impacted workers.

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act provides a refundable tax credit for eligible self-employed individuals who must self-quarantine, obtain a diagnosis, or comply with a self-isolation recommendation for coronavirus.

Please do not try and send tips to ladies without going through the ranches that are not operating their credit card machines as you may put them in a very precarious position to accept monies outside the ranch which would be cause for termination. (that is coming from me, not management as I have not asked about that yet) I know you want to help. The best way to help is to provide encouragement and patience. Take care of your health so that you can come see us as soon as we open again.

Getting Nevada unemployment benefits still hurts. From what I've read they only get about 50% of what they usually make. It is better than nothing but it doesn't last forever either.

  11. What a sweet gesture! I’m actually stunned. This could be a good charity to start for maybe not JUST us at the Ranches, but for anyone who needs assistance but because of a technicality they don’t necessarily qualify for assistance. :)

So, I'm going to delete my last post and just try to find another way to help. It doesn't look like it will be practical.

    Nevada: Latest updates on coronavirus

Here's a look at the number of coronavirus cases in Nevada and the latest news on the COVID-19 outbreak.

As of today (March 27) there are 536 COVID-19 cases in the state of Nevada, an increase of 131 new cases since yesterday (March 26), according to John's Hopkins University (JHU). This makes it 21st in the list of states for the most US coronavirus cases.

the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) reported. There have been 10 deaths statewide, all in Clark County, JHU says. Most of the patients were in their 50s or older and had underlying medical conditions, according to SNHD.

A positive case of COVID-19 was reported in a person who accessed services at Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada and the Homeless Courtyard in Las Vegas while he was symptomatic, SNHD said in a statement released on March 25. Staff, volunteers and clients at these facilities have been notified about the possibility of exposure to the individual who was ill.

To date, 6,696 people in Nevada have been tested for COVID-19 and 74 people have been hospitalized, according to the State of Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

The SNHD's Birth and Death Records office is now closed to the public; services are available online and records may be ordered by mail.

On March 24, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak signed a directive limiting public gatherings to 10 people or fewer.

"Protecting the health and safety of Nevadans is the top priority during this crisis and we must all band together to stay home for Nevadans," the governor said in a statement. "While getting outdoors is a great way to spend the time at home, gathering in large groups increases the likelihood of transmission," he said.

On March 18, Governor Sisolak waived the state's seven-day wait for unemployment benefits. He also declared that those applying for unemployment did not need to demonstrate that they were searching for work.

"Both of these instructions are practical, common-sense measures to help Nevadans obtain unemployment insurance benefits, while helping mitigate the spread of COVID-19," the governor said in a statement.

Governor Sisolak declared a state of emergency on March 17, with nearly all buildings in Clark County closed to the public, according to the Clark County Nevada website. All casinos, restaurants, bars and other nonessential businesses statewide will also be shuttered for 30 days as of midnight on March 17, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

"Today it is clear additional steps must be taken immediately to slow the spread of this deadly virus in our state," Governor Sisolak said.

Naturalization ceremonies and federal court trials in Nevada are on hold, and jury trials in Clark County District Court are suspended for 30 days, according to the Review-Journal. Visitations at all Nevada Department of Corrections facilities are also suspended, other than attorney and legal visits.

The first COVID-19 death in Nevada was a man from Clark County who was in his 60s and had an underlying health condition, KLAS-TV reported on March 16. There are currently 35 cases in Clark County, including the patient who died, according to the Southern Nevada Health District.

On March 15, Governor Sisolak announced school closures for all of Nevada's public, private and charter schools, beginning on March 16. Schools will remain closed until April 6 and possibly later, Governor Sisolak said in a statement.

Colleges and universities in Nevada, including Nevada State College, the University of Nevada Las Vegas, the University of Nevada Reno, Roseman University and Touro University, have also announced plans to end in-person classes and transition to online learning, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Cases by county (90 cases are currently unassigned):
    • Clark: 350
    • Washoe: 67
    • Douglas: 3
    • Carson City: 2
    • Elko: 2
    • Humboldt: 1
    • Lyon: 1
    • Nye: 1
An additional 109 cases are not assigned to specific counties, JHU reported.

In my county last week there was one positive case. This week there are 17 positive cases and one death.

The state health officer issued an order saying that anyone returning from travel to any other state must quarantine themselves for 14 days. This will be enforced by the police and is punishable by a $1500 fine and 30 days in jail.

Remember when I saw you I mentioned something about "cutting your hair"...well I guess your brain "remembered" part of that conversation and turned it into a nightmare.

    Sorry about that.

Looks like we’ll be closed at least until April 30th, per governors orders. My next tour at the Bunny Ranch is May 6th to the 26th so REALLY hoping that can still happen! Stay well everyone!
