How to post images (step by step)

Hey guys I noticed some people have issues trying to post images so I thought a little "How-to" was in order:
*** pictures can not be bigger than 600 pixel width***
There are 2 ways to post pics 1 for pictures you find on the internet and 1 for pictures on your hard drive

Internet Pictures(Using google image search):
1. Find the picture you want to post (click it)
2. Click the link to view full size image
3. Copy the address for the picture you want
4. Copy and paste this piece of code then replace the address with the one you copied:

Code:

[img]http://www.bunnyranch.com/someimage.jpg[/img]

4a. You can also just click the button that says "Img" (above the text box) it will insert the tags and you can paste the address between them
you can move the image around in your post by copying and pasting that line of code

Attachment:

Pictures on your hard drive:
1. Click browse
2. find and select the picture you want
3. click "open"
4. click "add file"
5. then click "Place inline"
in your post this line should appear

Code:

[attachment=1]yourImage.jpg[/attachment]

you can move the image around in your post by copying and pasting that line of code

Thanks, glad its well received...
I added a link to my sig for it too so even if it gets buried later people will be able to locate it...

Just be glad the boards are as they are, another board I'm on has 30 different buttons in that little tool-bar ^ up there (on the new post page)... its great when you know how to use them all (custom formatting opens things up to more original posting styles) but if you don't it can be intimidating

It took me a long time to figure out how to post pics here, i think i went through every other option before i found
the right one, lots of trial and error. This is something i would have liked to have seen when i first joined the board.

I found some pictures that I'd like to post.The problem is once I click on the picture,then what?I should tell you that I am pretty much computer-illiterate!I needed Anna's help just to register for the boards! :oops:

I prefer the img tag method, as it allows for the file to be included in quoted replies.

Just my two cents.
