I've stayed at the Gold Dust West in Carson City a number of times. It is a nice clean hotel with friendly staff. They offer the usual 24 hour gambling and they have a bowling alley as well.

I'm staying at the Gold Dust for my BR trip this week, using the $60 rate....and I can confirm that its a good deal. Nice quiet room and big cheap breakfast. Not to mention minutes from the BR and also has a sportsbook

Wow. That really is a great deal. 60 bucks for a room and with a breakfast with it.

Usually for that in regular hotels it's about 90 bucks or more.

I called them tonight...........they DO NOT provide room service.....the reason is........there are one restaurant, italian, open 24/7, seriously open all night long, you order the food you want FROM the guest room and then you go downstairs to pick it up yourself and carry it to the room. There is a snack bar open until 9pm every night.

Nice hotel, with a bowling alley, I might add! (I'm a sucker for bowling- it's a blast!) Good food, and a nice casino. Plus, it's less than a 5 minute drive to the Bunny Ranch!

As far as hotels in Carson City are concerned, I think this is the best deal out there!

Well, I just got off the phone with the Gold Dust Hotel. (very nice lady) And yes, they do have a sports book, which for my buddies is a big thing. The only concern I have is when I mentioned the Bunny Ranch discount, she had no idea about it.

Any suggestions?

Not only the Beds are strong and sturdy at the Gold Dust, the Shower metal rod is curved, which gives WAY more SPACE for the HOT and STEAMY !!! p.s. the walls are NOT soundproof, so- poor neighbors!!! hehehe

Stayed there beginning of April and is a great place to stay, rooms are big and clean and great value for $60.
Have a small gym as well, the casino is ok,just smokey[not a smoker], they do have back jack I think Tori, not a player myself.
Breakfast is great, had a choice of 6, had the American and there is a tenpin bowling alley as well.

Whoever wins at bowling gets to direct the sucking? There has to be some kind of stakes to the game and I like this cause either way I'd win!
