I know we have a lot of movie fans here, so I thought I'd start a thread where we can talk about upcoming movies that we're excited about, and share preview clips of cool films that we've come across. Feel free to share any that you're excited to see!

I was on the fence about the Stooges movie, but after seeing the previews I think they've done the impossible and made an actual 21st Century Three Stooges movie!!!!

Oh, I'm really excited for those too. I'm a big Joss Whedon fan, so I'm really curious to see what he's going to do with The Avengers.

And as far as Brave goes, I absolutely love Pixar, so this one is big on my list.

Great picks, Al! I thought the trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman looked great. I'm much more excited to see that than Mirror, Mirror (looks too campy for my taste).

I didn't even know that the Star Trek sequel was coming next year. That's awesome!

This is an Australian horror flick that I actually watched online last year, but apparently it's getting a US theatrical release this summer. I can't stress enough how awesome this movie is. It's described as a cross between Pretty and Pink and Saw. I highly recommend this one!

Little FYI: I just checked Rotten Tomatoes last night and the review score for The Avengers was at 97%! Overwhelmingly positive so far, I might just have to go see this opening day.

given that seeing a movie in a theatre I have to travel 2.5-3 hours by car, there's only a few that I actually go see

The Great Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio and directed by Baz Luhrmann.

Also, The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I'm very intrigued to see how Emma Watson will pull off Sam's character....

people in my home town have been doing this for years... usually only for the big hyped blockbusters.
when I go to see a movie, I usually try and squeeze in two on the same night. it makes for an expensive day (gas dinner and movies) and late night getting home.

I just saw a trailer for the movie "Sinister" with Ethan Hawke. It currently has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and the word is that it's absolutely terrifying. I love scary movies, so I can't wait for this one!

Oh gosh, I want to see Spiderman, Ted, Moonrise Kingdom, The Dark Knight Rises, and some others. Thankfully, a few of these will be crossed off my list this week!

I saw Rock of Ages (three times!) and Brave recently, both were very good in my book!

Just recently saw Ted and Avengers, both were very good! Ted was hilarious and had alot of Family Guy humor, which i like. Both movies get thumbs up in my book. if you enjoy watching Family Guy you'll definitely love Ted!

Next on my list to see are Dark Knight Rises and the new Spider-Man.

Holy crap, I so want that to be good too! This actually kind of sounds like the Lovecraft film he wanted to make based on the Cthulhu myth.

Did you hear that they're actually making a new Godzilla? I can't remember who's doing it, but it sounded awesome.

I did read an interview with Del Toro, where he said Prometheus ended his hopes for making At The Mountains of Madness. Shame, I would've loved to see it. I don't think there's been a good Lovecraft film, with the exception of In The Mouth of Madness.

Yeah, I guess we're done with the big releases for the year. I like horror films too though, and there's a lot of those coming up. The Apparition, Sinister, The Possession, Paranormal Activity 4...I'll probaby go see them all.

those horror films aren't really to my taste but I'd sit through them if it meant getting snuggly in the theatre with ya :wink:
