I was on a layover in Huston Texas, getting ready to board a plane to Reno for my first visit to the ranches and getting cold feet. It was an email exchange with Keif via my cell phone which was just enough to give the the courage to get on that plane.

Keif is an absolute sweet heart of a person whom I'm proud to call my friend.

I just joined the board yesterday so I'm a total n00b but I did read through your journal of your adventures at the ranch and your nervousness leading up to your visit. I have to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing that. It took a lot of guts to not only go but to be so open about sharing your feelings about it. It speaks to what an awesome person you are and it certainly is a comfort to other girls here like me.

Thanks Mixie and ukguy!!! I hope you both have a great weekend!!! Since we were on the topic of nature where I live, I'll add a few pics I've taken of what it looks like here. (remember these are all outside of town/in the country pics) Actually I'll post a new one of me, you can see what the the town streets look like a bit in the background. It was weird for me when I was in Nevada last year, to not see forests...

So, if you follow me on Twitter, I posted some sad news today. Wow, it's been a rough couple of weeks. :cry:

So, I went through a break up, which is hard, but you move on. Last Friday a friend of mine that I grew up with, went missing in the city where she lives. Sadly, her body was found a few days later in the water under a bridge into the city. :cry:

My friends and I have been taking it pretty hard. I know it's such a stupid thing to think/say, but these things, coupled with the stress of $, health issues, etc...has had me pretty depressed. Thankfully my best friend somehow snapped me out of it last night. Thank you to the board members who have messaged me. Ugh, just wish life would go easy on me, just for a week! [smilie=i love you1.gif]

I am a huge Kelf Fan she has been so sweet to my clients and all though I have never met or talked to her much she seems like a nice helpful person with great taste

I don't want to make a big deal about it, but this morning my Aunt passed away. She's had heart problems for years. The next few days will be emotional and hectic once all the family gets here, and the funeral happens. I gotta say, so far 2013 has been a pretty poopoo year for me. I went through a very depressed period last month, but had my ass kicked back to life from loved ones, which I'm thankful for. I am still trying like hell to remain hopeful and positive about the future. Life might have kicked my ass a few times this year, but I'm going to kick it right back, especially when it's not looking. Thank you to the special friends (both board members and working ladies) that have been there for me when it really counts. [smilie=i love you1.gif]
