I think "Cathouse" is how many of the ladies, myself included, at the ranches learned about them. I explain a little of my reasoning for choosing not to appear on the series HERE, if anyone is interested. Those who do appear do an amazing job of selling the place to both prospective clients and working girls alike.

I heard about the Bunny Ranch from internet forums. I registered on the boards and that's how I found out about the show.

The ladies who are on there are all amazing women, the series gives them a chance to show their sexual side. I would love to be on cathouse.

Interesting. I wonder, percentage wise, how many learn about the show from the board.

I heard about the Bunny Ranch after moving to Vegas. Been here about a month, playing High Limit Blackjack, and this girl walks up to me and starts talking and my friend (who I met at work) tells her we have no money. She leaves, and he explains the world of Escorting to me, and that how unsafe it is. Then he tells me about the Bunnyranch and I joined the forums to see what it was all about.

So far I love it! I won't forget the look on the girls face when my friend said we have no money and we're sitting in High Limit. Priceless.

Yeah, bad juju in Vegas, to say the least.

Well Anna, in my case it was pretty simple: I never had HBO.

Not everyone get's HBO, but the way dennis promotes his houses is astonishing, and the cathouse is a great way to see what goes on inside. I love watching it, even though I am at the sister house LOVE RANCH NORTH, I am proud of that show and all the bunnies.

Yeah, I never have cable and hardly know how to turn on a television.. I think I remember seeing it on Amazon and buying the DVDs on a whim. I was hooked right from the beginning! I think a lot of people have a misunderstanding about what the girls are like at a brothel, but this show let's the world see us as friendly, caring, sensual and lovable women!

Very well said sweety, yes it does show a little drama with us ladies being in one house together, then the adventure of coming down and having a fantasy come true, then you also get to see how all the girls possess a big heart and care for all those who have touched our lives.

But yeah, thanks, Oprah... ;-)

That was an amazing interview.

I agree with you Brooke. A lot people have curiosity on how the girls live every day. The show is a great way to show a little of what goes on on our every day life here.

One of the earlier seasons did get me thinking about since I was coming to Reno for a
convention.

Last night's episode has me concerned about my return visit. Some of the amounts paid have me wondering if I can really afford it.

Totally! I've been a fan of Cathouse since it aired in 2002. I'm not a working girl or a prospective client, just a fan and an odd one at that. I have a graduate degree, am a wife and a mother, and I'm a women's rights advocate! I am a big fan of the ladies on Cathouse and the way things are run at the Bunny Ranch for so many reasons. The women at the Ranch are empowered and treated well and I think there's nothing wrong with being a working girl nor does it go against my ideas of feminism! HBO shows that these ladies are having fun and making a good living, and why not? I think prostitution should be legalized in general - it's 2012 folks!! Thanks for putting yourselves out there and breaking through some of the stereotypes. We have a long way to go but you all have my support. I cannot believe I signed in with my real picture/name to type this...but I stand by my words so I didn't want to be anonymous.

I have to admit watching the shows piqued my interest in the ranches. I'd known prostitution was legal in Nevada (and like Laura, I think it should be legalized EVERYWHERE) but never knew about the ranches.

Like a lot of folks early on, I was captivated by Isabella Soprano, and when I first visited the web site (didn't know there was a message board, but I think this was back in 2004, when I was living in east-central Illinois), I knew someday I'd have to go there. Getting involved with the boards helped as well, no doubt.

Fast-forward to this past March, and that first visit to the ranches STILL sticks in my memory. And now look at both Colin and I - and to think that it all started with a show on HBO... ;)

BTW, welcome aboard Laura!!!

I was inspired. I saw the show and fell in love with it. It took me six years to get enough courage and I finally sent in my pics to Suzette and now here I am.

Not only am I fulfilling others fantasies but mine as well.

Kisses,
Skyler Rain

I actually never watched the show until after I started working at the Love Ranch but I did hear about the show prior.
