Hey and if the weather is nice, its only 5 miles. I could hike to the ranch and get my daily exercise in, time my appointment to end sometime after midnight, hike back and be covered for the next day too. What a deal LOL !!

I take it you haven't been to the ranch yet. The last 2 miles from the east end of Carson City to Mound House where the ranch is is a pretty steep uphill hike. I have to downshift my minivan driving up. Spend $10 for the ride from the ranch driver from Gold Dust West Carson City to the ranch and see first if you want to try the hike the next day. It is mostly downhill and level from the ranch back to the hotel but the ladies at the ranch might tire you out so much that you wouldn't have enough energy to even hike back.

Unless situation dictates otherwise, its my plan to arrive in a Chevy HHR (Hey Anna Suvari said she thinks small cars are sexy, I gotta see if she was lying or not. Also, I assure you, I'm not so reckless as to walk out there for the hell of it. Prices are reasonable but its definitely not a cheap endeavor for me, and I'm not going to take a risk that might prevent me from helping the ladies have a good time.

I may have to consider that, I suspect even in the mountains its going to be pretty hot and sticky come August. Always wanted to ask if you're just showering for the sake of hygiene and common courtesy, does that come out of your time ? Or am I asking a question that varies and should only be asked in the negotiation room ?

I know some of the deals with the competitors be it the hotel, limo, or whatever the more perks you accept the more people who get a % of the ladies' party fee and not only does that drive up the size of the fee but just doesn't seem fair to the women. One place it was as high at 20% for some of the stuff !!!!!

That was why I was somewhat skeptical and had the concern.

This looks like a pretty fair deal for everyone and I'm sure the BR & LR clients donate a decent chunk of business to the Gold Dust's casino; so they probably aren't taking too big a lose on this either.

Hehehe, ironically my concern is that you two might be too much fun. While I'm okay going out in a blaze of glory that way, I'm only okay with it if I last until 30 seconds before they call "Time to renegotiate". So I wanted some months to train Gable style.

I just called him the other day and he's agreed to take me on. After my August trip, on the drive back east instead of heading to Ohio, I'm heading to his farm in Iowa where I will be in training camp until late spring preparing. :mrgreen:

I stayed there this week and you really can't beat this deal! The free breakfast is a real one where you have decent portions. Even if you just get the standard king suite, you'll have plenty of space and it'll nice and clean.

If Ole Ole is closed the other restaurant, the Grille is open 24 hrs.

Highly recommended!

I drove by there and it didn't look bad from the outside.

Now from there to the BR, at least in the Dodge Charger that the rental company stupidly upgraded me to for free LOL, I'd say the drive to the BR or the LRN to be closer to three minutes, and if stop lights and cops are alined right, possibly even as little as two mins :lol:

Granted, you'll be delayed a lot longer than 5 minutes if you get pulled over (like by 72 hrs in jail) moving at the speed necessary to make that 2 min mark but the point remains.

Its close, just a straight shot down route 50 to the ranches from Carson City, very easy to get to. 2 or 3 miles from the city limit sign, if that. I do wish they'd make the sign for the LRN road more noticeable though, I drove past it every time in the daylight.

Very True, our sign for the LRN is very small and even with me working here, I sometimes pass it because I forget where the sign is.

This was truly one of the reasons why our experience at the Ranches was so good--it's easily the best hotel we've ever stayed at! And when we visit the Ranches, this is going to be our home away from home!

Yeah! after reading about the place, I visited their site...........very inticing! I plan on staying there when I make my visit!
